Hi, I’m Qais.

I’m a senior freelance motion designer, animator and illustrator based in Bristol.

For the past 15 years, I’ve worked with studios, agencies and brands including Spotify, Netflix, Nike, Google, Microsoft, BBC and Sony Music.

I work across the full motion process, from concepts, storyboards and style frames through to animation and final delivery. I’m equally comfortable developing a project from scratch or joining an existing team as additional motion support.

My experience spans brand campaigns, explainers, TV and social content, character animation, typography, UI and Lottie animation, title sequences and music videos.

Alongside my commercial work, I created Alwan, an award-winning animated short film exploring identity, imagination and friendship. I also make personal work that’s a little more textured, nostalgic and surreal.

When I’m not animating or illustrating, you’ll usually find me walking my dog Elio through the countryside.

I love being involved early, helping to shape the look, tone and direction of a project. But I’m just as comfortable joining an existing team to animate scenes, develop assets or provide additional motion support.
