I’d been following AJ Brennan’s work for a while, so when I saw he was looking for an animator for Therapy with Theo, I reached out. The mockumentary follows a dysfunctional “takeaway therapist” who turns up at your door to listen to your problems.

AJ came to me with a rough storyboard and a couple of references, then gave me the freedom to develop the sequence from there. My role covered direction, illustration and animation, shaping the visual style, pacing and tone around Theo’s brilliantly strange character.
